Fundació Impulsa has marked the end of its academic year with young people and mentors from Sabadell and Terrassa, recognizing the effort and achievements in the mentoring program.

Fundació Impulsa concluded its academic year with an event held at the auditorium of the Chamber of Commerce of Sabadell, bringing together young people and mentors from the cities of Sabadell and Terrassa. This initiative focuses on providing scholarships and support to young people in situations of social and economic vulnerability, facilitating their access to vocational training (FP) and subsequent labor market integration. The event took place simultaneously in other locations such as Vic, Girona, and Manresa.
Within the scope of Sabadell and Terrassa, a total of 86 young individuals have been supported this academic year, with 43 participants per city. Each of them has benefited from the guidance of 41 mentors, fostering a key relationship for their development. The project has also involved 41 educational centers and 13 social entities from the region.
Project coordinator, Núria Farrés, highlighted the foundation's decade-long trajectory, during which over 780 young people have received scholarships, with a vocational training graduation rate exceeding 80%. Farrés also noted the program's growth and consolidation in recent years, both in terms of mentoring and the dynamics established with various local stakeholders.
To facilitate connections between students and companies, figures like Montse Argemí and Tània Nadal serve as ambassadors in Sabadell. Argemí explains their role is to bridge the gap between young talent and companies seeking committed professionals, emphasizing the strong response from the young scholarship recipients. These companies not only identify talent but also contribute to the project as sponsors for the scholarships.
Lucía Aguilar, a student pursuing a higher vocational training cycle in Network Systems Administration (ASIX), is an example of a scholarship recipient. She learned about Fundació Impulsa during her secondary education and saw the program as an opportunity to gain experience. She highly values the personal and academic support received from her mentor, Rosa Balagué, who has assisted her in decision-making and in building a trusting relationship.
Rosa Balagué, a human resources professional, has been collaborating with the foundation for five years, considering the guidance of adolescents a crucial task. Her role involves supporting students throughout their vocational training, encouraging them and helping them plan their future academic and professional steps.
Another success story is that of Aina Avellaneda, who has completed a mid-level vocational training in care for dependent individuals and plans to pursue higher education. Her mentor, Olga Bayer, emphasizes the importance of contributing to society and supporting young people, finding great satisfaction in witnessing their achievements.
Santi Ortega, another mentor, highlights the significance of monitoring students' progress and providing support. He describes the experience as enriching, observing the young people's development and helping them navigate their paths, noting the impressive personal results achieved.
The event was attended by the Secretary of Vocational Training of the Generalitat, Francesc Roca, who celebrated initiatives like this, stating that "young people are the present and future." Roca applauded that young talent is provided with opportunities and feels supported, underscoring the role of vocational training in generating quality employment through public-private collaboration.
