Next Wednesday, September 16th, the Marcel Ayats Library in Sant Quirze del Vallès will host the performed conference "Com la gasela vas," by the group Grup Lleona, composed of Blanca Lamar and Maria Callís. The event will take place from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM.
The performance focuses on the experience of femininity and creation in the poetry of Clementina Arderiu, drawing parallels with other contemporary Catalan authors such as Víctor Català and Maria Antònia Salvà.
The show combines spoken word, music, and visual elements to introduce the audience to Arderiu's poetic universe from a contemporary perspective. Using the verse "Com la gasela vas / vora el mirall de l’aigua" (Like the gazelle you go / by the water's mirror), it addresses themes such as the surface of verse, the circumstances, and the hopes and challenges of being a woman and a creator.
This scenic proposal invites a rediscovery of Clementina Arderiu's poetry and reflection on the voice of women in literature and creation.
