The circulation on the BarcelonaVallès line of Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya was interrupted this Monday afternoon due to a car on the tracks, following an accident on a parallel road.

The incident, which occurred after a vehicle crashed into a wall and ended up on one of the rails, forced the suspension of service on both the S1 (Terrassa) and S2 (Sabadell) lines for safety reasons. Emergency services confirmed the car's presence on the tracks, causing the disruption.
This situation led to the closure of railway traffic between the Les Planes and Sant Cugat Centre stations. Furthermore, the event triggered the FERROCAT pre-alert plan by Catalonia's Civil Protection, mobilizing resources to manage the incident.
Four units from the Bombers de la Generalitat de Catalunya (Catalan Firefighters) were dispatched to the scene, receiving the alert at 2:54 PM. Their work focused on removing the damaged vehicle and clearing the debris generated by the collapsed wall.
Once the obstruction was removed and the area secured, circulation was able to resume across the entire line. However, Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya has warned that the service may still experience some punctual disruptions while frequencies are normalized and full regularity is restored.
