A 15-year-old weightlifter from the Penedès region, Xènia Pagès, has achieved fifth place at the Spanish Weightlifting Championship, improving her personal bests.

The young athlete Xènia Pagès, 15 years old and from Vilafranca, has secured a notable fifth position at the Spanish Weightlifting Championship. Pagès, who competes with Club de Pesas Terrassa and is part of Intercrossfit, surpassed her best marks in the competition.
In her performance, Pagès lifted 64 kg in the snatch and 82 kg in the clean and jerk, totaling 146 kg in the Olympic total, which earned her the fifth final position in the category.
Her journey in weightlifting began at the age of 9, influenced by her parents' practice of crossfit-kids. After three years training with adults, a coach from Club de Pesas Terrassa suggested she specialize in weightlifting about nine months ago. Her first participation in February was a success, qualifying for the national championship after winning the Catalan sub-17 championship.
