The event's official image, created by illustrator Laia Dalmases, was unveiled this Thursday during an event featuring music, speeches, a performance by Rauxa de les Bruixes del Nord, and a concert, followed by a popular Senegalese cuisine dinner.
The poster depicts a woman crossing the finish line over a banner that reads ‘Acabem amb el racisme’ (End racism). The race will feature a five-kilometer circular route, starting from Pi i Maragall street in the La Creu Alta neighborhood, and will run through the city's central axis streets.
The initiative aims to highlight the racist discrimination that continues to occur in various societal spheres and to confront hate speech. The Associació Mitja Marató will collaborate on the race's logistics, aid stations, and other key aspects.
Throughout the race morning, other activities and stalls will be organized to liven up the day. Registrations are now open via a specific link, and volunteers are also sought to assist with the organization.
