The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has set the play-off semi-final matches, featuring CE Sabadell against Madrid Castilla, to be played on Fridays, a decision that has caused dissatisfaction among supporters.

Controversy arose after Madrid Castilla secured fifth place in Group 1, following a three-way tie that complicated the scheduling for the football governing body. Once their play-off spot was confirmed, the dates for the semi-finals were set.
Both the first leg, to be played at Valdebebas on May 30th, and the second leg, scheduled for the Nova Creu Alta a week later, will take place on Fridays at 9 PM. This same timing had previously restricted the movement of CE Sabadell fans in earlier matches against Nàstic, Europa, and Atlético Madrileño.
CE Sabadell would only need a draw on aggregate to advance, having finished as runners-up in their group. In case of a tie after extra time, the team with the higher league standing progresses. The winner of this tie will face the victor of the match between Villarreal B and Zamora.
