The emergency response, involving 56 ground crews and 12 aerial units, is focused on protecting residents. According to operational leads, the absolute priority is to gather residents in safe locations, as the fire's rapid spread has limited the window for safe evacuations.
The fire, which started around 14:21 in a field near the Mas d'en Cisa industrial estate, has already affected dozens of hectares, mostly forest land. Authorities issued an ES-Alert notification requesting the confinement of residents in areas including el Farell, Can Gurri, Sant Sebastià de Montmajor, el Balcó de Sant Llorenç, Sant Feliu del Racó, northern Castellar del Vallès, and Can Vinyals.
Extinction teams are working to anchor the fire to forest tracks while wind and terrain complicate efforts. The fire, which has high potential for further spread, remains one of the most concerning emergencies for firefighting services across the region.
