The novel La muerte del sicario, published by Ibera Edicions in 2025, is the second collaboration between Abelardo Gil, from Matadepera, and Miguel Adrover, from Mallorca. This work continues the saga started with Rue Coconut, which introduced the National Police special investigation group, the GE12.
While the first installment took place between the Ivory Coast and Catalonia, this new delivery offers the appeal of recognizing locations in Matadepera and s’Horta, in Mallorca. The plot begins with the death of Xènia Puigmartí's lover and leads the reader to investigate a major drug trafficking network.

The official presentation of the novel will take place next Wednesday, January 21, at seven in the evening, at the La Temerària bookstore in Terrassa (c/ de la Goleta, 7). The event will feature the participation of Dr. Rosa Montoliu.
Gil emphasized that through this cooperation, they have found a narrative line that they enjoy as writers and that, judging by the readers' reaction, also entertains them, assuring that they are already planning a new case for their beloved GE12 investigators.
