Sabadell Firefighters had to respond to multiple vegetation and container fires during the night of June 20-21, in a situation exacerbated by rising temperatures.

The night of June 20-21 was particularly intense for the Sabadell Firefighters, who had to respond to several vegetation and container fires across different parts of the city. This activity occurs during days marked by rising temperatures, which favor the spread of fire in dry vegetation areas.
The first alert was received around 10 PM near the Joan Maragall school, in the Can Puiggener neighborhood. The fire affected an urban vegetation area, burning bushes, some palm trees, and approximately 200 square meters. Four firefighter units worked on the extinction, which was controlled before 11 PM.
A few minutes later, at 11:07 PM, another fire broke out in a lot near the Roureda school. One unit extinguished the blaze, which scorched about 200 square meters of dry grass. Despite the proximity of a parking lot, no vehicles were affected.
Later in the early morning, at 2:34 AM, a vegetation fire started on the bank of the Ripoll River, near the BV-2432 road. The fire affected about 50 square meters of reeds and was quickly controlled by a single unit.
Seven minutes later, at 2:41 AM, another unit responded to Manuel de Falla street, in the Can Rull neighborhood, to extinguish a burning paper container. The intervention lasted less than twenty minutes and caused no other damage.
One of the most significant fires of the night occurred after 3 AM in a forest vegetation area behind the restaurant Can Jonqueres, on the road to Prats de Lluçanès. The flames affected approximately 500 square meters, and two firefighter units worked for nearly three hours to fully extinguish it and secure the area.
Finally, around 4 AM, a container fire occurred on Terrassa road, at number 349, in the Merinals neighborhood. Three containers were destroyed, and heat radiation affected the rear of a parked vehicle and plastic elements on the facade of an adjacent building. The operation lasted approximately half an hour.
