The bookstore El petit librerío, located on Sant Cugat street, has recently opened its doors, specializing in children's, young adult, and illustrated books. This type of publication, as writer Anna Fité argued, transcends young audiences and is currently experiencing a boom among adult readers, with specialized reading clubs even appearing.
The establishment hosted the first literary presentation in its new space, dedicated to the title L'Estel i la lluna. The work is the result of a collaboration between writer David Vila i Ros and illustrator Marta Roig Prats, and has been published by La Banya.
L’Estel i la lluna tells the story of a girl named Estel who decides to go looking for the moon, embarking on a journey full of fantasy accompanied by squirrels, birds, turtles, pirates, dolphins, and fairies.
The story, designed for the preschool stage, is notable for its visual nature and its ability to expand the vocabulary of young children. The presentation concluded with a crafts workshop that was very well received by the attending children, who filled the bookstore.
