As September arrives, Catalan schools are preparing for the new academic year. This year, four centers will inaugurate new buildings, including the Les Filadores School in Sentmenat, located in Vallès Occidental. This second public school in the municipality, a historic demand, has completed its construction against the clock to ensure a timely opening.
Sources from the Generalitat confirm that the facilities are ready. The City Council began the surrounding reurbanization works on June 30th, including an elevated pedestrian crossing and new access points, to meet the requirements of the Bombers de la Generalitat (Fire Department).
The new center, established in the 2021-2022 academic year sharing space with the Can Sorts School, will span over 2,500 square meters. The project, with an investment exceeding seven million euros, will improve conditions for students and staff, who will now have their own space and renovated facilities.

The center's management team expressed their excitement last December about developing their own path in a renovated space, improving their current conditions. The total investment, including the 5,721 square meter patio area, exceeds seven million euros, with the City Council covering the external renovations.
