The Terrassa-based cultural entity Amics de les Arts i Joventuts Musicals, with the support of the Terrassa City Council, has launched four literary and creation calls in Catalan, aimed at both young and adult creators.

The calls aim to promote cultural creation and support new voices in Catalan literature and audiovisual creation. The disciplines included are poetry, short stories, and videopoetry.
The VII Marta Pessarrodona Young Catalan Videopoetry Award is aimed at creators under 35 years old. Submissions, between one and three minutes long, compete for a €1,000 grant to foster continued video-poetry creation. The deadline for submissions is July 31st.
Similarly, the VII Marta Pessarrodona Young Catalan Poetry Award 2026 is also aimed at young creators (up to 35 years old) and offers a €1,000 grant. The submission deadline is July 31st.
Furthermore, the XXIII Agustí Bartra City of Terrassa Award for Catalan Poetry recognizes original and unpublished works in Catalan, between 250 and 500 verses. The award includes commercial publication of the winning work. The deadline for submissions is July 31st.
Finally, the VII Anna Murià City of Terrassa Short Story Award recognizes original, unpublished short story collections written in Catalan. The award comes with €3,000 and commercial publication of the winning work, co-edited with Pagès Editors. The deadline for submissions is July 15th.
