The city of Rubí has chosen Onze de Setembre square as the meeting point for the commemoration of the National Day of Catalonia. The traditional floral offering before the Dempeus monument, created by local artist Pepa de Haro Cabanas, has gathered political representatives, various citizen entities, and residents.
The mayor, Ana María Martínez Martínez, accompanied by the spokespersons of the municipal groups from the PSC, ERC, PP, Veïns per Rubí, AUP, and ECP, led the first floral offering on behalf of the City Council of Rubí.
Following the council's participation, the Esbart Dansaire de Rubí performed the Ball d’Homenatge and the geganta Paula. Subsequently, the Obrador Coral and the Societat Coral Unió Rubinenca jointly sang Els Segadors.
The offerings continued with political groups represented in the Municipal Plenary, as well as formations without local representation such as Junts per Catalunya Rubí and the Joventuts Socialistes de Catalunya a Rubí. Nearly thirty entities from the city joined the commemoration, including the Associació d’Adjudicataris del Mercat Municipal, Associació d’Escacs Rubinenca, Associació de Gent Gran de Rubí, Associació de Pessebristes de Rubí, Associació de Veïns de Ca n’Oriol, Associació Els Castellers de Rubí, Aula d’Extensió Universitària de Rubí, AVAN Amics de la Neurologia, CEB Sant Jordi, CD Olímpic de Can Fatjó, Centre d’Estudis Rubinencs, Centre Excursionista de Rubí, Club Natació Rubí, Colla de Geganters de Rubí, Comissions Obreres de Rubí, Consell Consultiu de la Gent Gran, Coordinadora d’Entitats Andaluzas de Rubí, Esbart Dansaire de Rubí, Escola de Sardanes Flor de Neu, Foment de la Sardana de Rubí, Grup de Col·laboradors del Museu de Rubí, Obrador Coral de Rubí, Oncolliga, Òmnium Cultural Rubí, Sala Neus Català, Societat Coral Unió Rubinenca, and Unió Esportiva Rubí.
The Castellers de Rubí erected a pillar of homage while the cobla performed the Toc de Castells.
The event concluded with musical performances and sardanas. The Obrador Coral presented La Balanguera and És la Moreneta, and the Coral Unió Rubinenca offered the Himne a Rubí, among other pieces. Both groups once again sang the national anthem of Catalonia together. The Escola de Sardanes Flor de Neu gave an exhibition with the Galzeran de Rubí group, followed by a popular sardana dance open to the public organized by the Foment de la Sardana de Rubí.
