The 2026 budget of the Generalitat de Catalunya includes an allocation of over 25 million euros for investment projects in Sabadell across several strategic areas.

The funding will be used to strengthen basic services such as health, education, social protection, and urban mobility. Among the most notable actions is the plan to air-condition a hundred educational centers over the next two years, a measure that includes facilities such as the Institut Miquel Crusafont, the Institut Escola Industrial, and the Institut Vallès.
This initiative is part of the Climate Plan, designed to adapt educational infrastructure to high temperatures. In addition to local investments, the regional budget also includes projects with a regional scope, with a special emphasis on improving transport infrastructure in the Vallès Occidental.
Within mobility priorities, the focus has been placed on the orbital railway line. This infrastructure is considered key to facilitating connections between major metropolitan cities without having to pass through Barcelona, aiming for a more sustainable and efficient mobility model for the region.
