For this reason, municipal authorities are asking citizens to exercise extreme caution, especially during the most intense rainfall, and to follow the instructions of emergency services at all times.
It is recommended to avoid unnecessary travel and, if driving, to do so with great prudence, adapting speed to road conditions. The importance of not crossing streams, torrents, or flood-prone areas, either on foot or by vehicle, and avoiding parking there is also emphasized.
At home, it is suggested to remove or secure objects that could fall or be moved by the wind, keep drains and gutters clean, and pay special attention to terraces, patios, and balconies. During storms, stay away from wooded areas, unstable structures, and other elements that could pose a risk due to strong wind gusts.
