Today's events, Saturday, will kick off with various sports activities including basketball, football, table tennis, and model car racing. Starting at 10:30 AM, the Grup de Gegants (Giants Group) will host its XXXIII Trobada de Gegants (33rd Giants Gathering), with invited 'colles' (groups). The parade will begin at plaça de la Vila and proceed through iconic streets such as La Rambla, plaça de Francesc Macià, Genis Sala, avinguda de Barcelona, and Plaça Claris.
The MTIV (Museum of Industrial and Technical Heritage) is organizing a guided tour of its permanent exhibition to showcase productive life in Santa Perpètua. For families, children's games like 'La Gran Canicada d’en Jan' (from 11 AM to 1 PM in the Telers hall) and aquatic inflatables at the municipal pool (from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM) have been designed. At midday, a 'vermut' concert in the Vapor courtyard will feature 'English hits'.
The afternoon begins with the sixth edition of the Travessa la Bassa (Cross the Pond race) at 6 PM in the central park, with over a dozen participating boats. At 7 PM, the Pati del Vapor will host a rumba 'tardeo' with El Rumbo, an artist with over ten years of experience, bringing their energetic repertoire.
One of Catalonia's most emblematic ensembles, the Orquestra La Principal de la Bisbal, with over 130 years of history, will provide music for the Fanalet ball at 10:30 PM on La Rambla. Earlier, at 7 PM, they will perform the Festa Major concert at the same venue. This orchestra from Empordà, founded in 1888, blends tradition and innovation.
Other notable events include the family musical show 'Arcàdia' by La Belluga at Parc Central (7:30 PM), exploring artificial intelligence. At 8 PM, the eleventh edition of the Cursa de Festa Major (Festival Race) will take place, followed by a performance by the Ball de Gitanes (Gypsy Dance) in the plaça de la Vila at 8:30 PM.
The highlight of the evening will be the Correfoc dels 30 anys del Grup de Joves Diables (30th Anniversary Fire Run of the Young Devils Group) at 10 PM, featuring the 'colles' (groups) from Vall del Tenes and Ripoll. A spectacular and different start and end are promised to commemorate the anniversary.
The night program includes Spotyflight (11 PM) at Parc Central, a group led by Tonet Blázquez and actress Laia Fontan. Dj Namami will also perform (11 PM) on the last night of Deskoncerts. Later, at 0:15 AM, it will be the turn of singer Queralt Lahoz, a winner of the Music Moves Europe awards. The night will continue with Periferia (2 AM) and conclude with Dj Lilpaw (3:30 AM).
Finally, the 'golfo' dance at Granja Soldevila (from 1 AM to 4 AM) will be hosted by Dj Enka.
