The municipality, located in the Vallès Occidental region, is among the areas at high risk of flooding. The Municipal Emergency Committee, chaired by Mayor Joan Carles Mingueza, convened to coordinate preventive measures.
In accordance with directives from the Generalitat de Catalunya, tomorrow, between 7 AM and 5:30 PM, educational, outdoor sports, and university activities will be suspended, along with basic and specialized social services, and non-urgent healthcare activities.
In Santa Perpètua, this entails the closure of primary and secondary schools, municipal nursery schools, social services, the Municipal School of Arts, the Municipal Pavilion, swimming pools, civic centers, and the Library until the aforementioned time. The decision to extend the closure will depend on the evolving situation.
The committee has also resolved to enhance preventive measures, such as securing public waste containers, inspecting critical points susceptible to heavy rainfall, and closing necessary spaces. Follow-up will be maintained with elderly care homes and vulnerable individuals.

The mayor urged citizens to exercise extreme caution, avoid unnecessary travel during peak impact hours, and follow the instructions of emergency services and official municipal channels.
