The Santa Perpètua City Council has launched the SPM Antiracista campaign, which will run until December with the aim of promoting coexistence, equality, and awareness against racism in the municipality.

The project is supported by a grant from the Department of Equality and Feminisms of the Generalitat de Catalunya. The City Council seeks the involvement of citizens and entities, for which it has convened associations to a meeting on October 8th at 6 PM at La Promotora. The Council believes that the associative fabric is fundamental for building an anti-racist society.
Among the planned activities is the Anti-Racism Race, to be held on December 20th. A motor group of young people aged 16 to 20, who responded to the municipal call, has already been formed for its organization. A Community Service has also been designed for 3rd-year ESO students, who will be responsible for the race's safety plan in conjunction with Civil Protection.
The race's motor group will hold meetings with the entity Top Manta, the first on October 7th, and will also draft a manifesto to be read before the race. The Municipal Library has joined the campaign by offering a bibliographic exhibition on racism on October 6th.
