Terrassa City Council has activated the pre-alert for the Municipal Emergency Plan due to the risk of flooding from heavy rain expected to hit the Vallès Occidental region this Friday afternoon.

The measure follows a warning issued by the Operational Coordination Center of Catalonia (CECAT), which has placed the INUNCAT plan on pre-alert status. According to data from the Meteorological Service of Catalonia, the risk is concentrated between 2:00 PM and 8:00 PM, with the possibility of over 20 liters per square meter accumulating in just half an hour.
The danger level set by meteorologists is 2 out of 6, which is considered moderate. Nevertheless, the local government has confirmed that all municipal services are on alert to monitor the weather situation and respond quickly to any incidents that may occur on public roads.
Authorities have urged citizens to exercise extreme caution during the period of greatest instability. The weather warning covers the coastal and pre-coastal areas of the northern half of Catalonia, with specific impact on the Vallès Occidental region during the latter part of the day.
