The city of Terrassa is gearing up to celebrate Sant Joan night with two official bonfires and fifteen neighborhood parties organized by local associations and cultural entities, featuring an enhanced police presence to ensure safety.

The night of June 23rd in Terrassa will be celebrated with intensity thanks to the Sant Joan festivities, an occasion that encourages community gathering. The City Council has authorized two large bonfires and fifteen parties spread across different parts of the city, aiming to provide spaces for fun and social cohesion.
The two authorized bonfires will be located at Carrer de les Vinyoles with Torrent del Batlle (Can Boada del Pi) and in the Pla de la Font de l’Apotecari park (Sant Pere). These sites will be operational from ten in the evening until one in the morning, at which point fire extinction services will proceed to put them out.
The Font de l’Apotecari will be one of the main celebration hubs, featuring a party organized by La Xemeneia, Òmnium, and La Flama del Canigó. This event will include cultural activities, music, and gastronomy from six in the evening until three in the morning, including the reception of the flame at the City Hall.
In addition to the main bonfires, the Municipal Service of Civil Protection and Public Way has approved 14 more neighborhood and cultural celebrations in various streets and squares, such as Carrer de Mare de Déu de l’Esperança, Carrer Churruca, Plaça de l'Exili, and Plaça de la Immaculada, among others.
The Municipal Police of Terrassa has prepared a special operation for Sant Joan night, one of the busiest of the year. Officers will patrol to prevent uncivil behavior, control the use of pyrotechnics, and enhance alcohol and drug checks. Special attention will also be given to preventing sexual violence and discriminatory conduct.
The security force will also oversee bonfire sites and gatherings of people, reminding the public of the prohibition against lighting fires within 500 meters of forests and pyrotechnics within 15 meters of urban elements or vegetation. Officers will support the Fire Department in extinguishing any potential fires and ensure general civility and safety.
