Firefighters from the Generalitat de Catalunya were activated in Terrassa around 9:30 PM (21:28 hours) following a report of a small tree falling. The incident occurred on Infant Martí street at the Plaça de l’Assamblea de Catalunya, where the tree landed on a parked car.
A unit of firefighters and a patrol from the Municipal Police were dispatched to the scene. While officers cordoned off the area, firefighters proceeded to cut and remove the tree. It is believed that the heavy rains in the preceding hours may have weakened the tree.
Once the trunk was removed, a quick inspection of the affected vehicle was carried out. Fortunately, it only sustained minor damage and no significant harm was reported. This morning, remnants of the tree were still visible on the roadway.
“"The operation took place around seven in the evening (19:00 hours) and led to the identification of 7 people. Of these, two were arrested for violating a restraining order and for irregular administrative status, and one more was reported for possession of a bladed weapon."
In a separate police operation, conducted yesterday afternoon on Guadalhorce street, two individuals were arrested. The operation, carried out by the Municipal Police, Mossos d’Esquadra, and the National Police, was a response to repeated complaints regarding noise disturbances and potential public health offenses at a restaurant establishment.
During the operation, seven people were identified. In addition to the two arrests, another person was reported for carrying a bladed weapon. Furthermore, citations were issued for various administrative and hygiene-related deficiencies at the establishment.
