While the Sabadell City Council has installed nearly a thousand fans in about thirty schools, some educational centers still suffer from high temperatures, awaiting devices or provisional solutions.

The Sabadell City Council has made progress in installing fans in schools, with nearly a thousand units now operational in about thirty centers. However, some educational institutions have yet to receive these devices or are awaiting complementary actions to mitigate high summer temperatures.
At the Virolet School, for instance, the Parents' Association (AFA) laments that the thermal conditions are "very unsuitable for learning." Municipal sources explain that this center, a new construction with its own climate control system promoted by the Generalitat, was not initially included in the municipal project. Nevertheless, efforts are underway to install fans, although the AFA anticipates they won't be ready for the current school year and suggests provisional measures like "penguins" (portable fans).
Parents have stated they have offered to purchase fans for years, but the Department of Education has repeatedly rejected this option, arguing that any intervention must comply with current regulations and obtain their authorization.
Other centers, such as the Enric Casassas School, already had these appliances, but the demand focused on the heat accumulated in the building's dome, where temperatures reached 34 ºC. The City Council is studying measures to reduce this thermal impact, considering the building's heritage value. A similar situation occurs at Miquel Martí i Pol, where the AFA funded a patio seating area, while the City Council installs awnings.
Schools like Can Llong, Mas Boadella, Cifuentes, and Nostra Llar have also not had municipal fans installed, as maintenance responsibilities lie with the Generalitat. The Department of Education has confirmed that it will also install fans there soon, subject to its own planning.
The City Council's total investment for installing a thousand fans across 453 spaces in 30 infant and primary schools and 3 adult education centers amounts to 527,124.81 euros. These low-consumption, low-noise units can only be operated by teaching staff using a master key for safe usage, continuing a previous pilot program.
