The 'Open Yards' program is resuming in Polinyà this Friday, October 2nd. After a pause due to budget adjustments, the project is being revived thanks to the normalization of municipal finances. This will allow the courtyards of the Roser Capdevila school and the Escola de la Vila to once again become spaces for public and free use by families, children, and young people outside of school hours.
The established opening hours will be Fridays from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM and Saturdays from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A detailed calendar of open yards can be consulted via a link provided by the town hall.
The main objectives of the 'Open Yards' program are to increase meeting spaces in the municipality by utilizing school centers, strengthen the bond between citizens and educational spaces, and offer safe and local leisure alternatives for children, young people, and families, facilitating free-use recreational activities within the premises.
With the reopening of these spaces, Polinyà gains two points of free public access. Citizens are reminded of the importance that minors using the courtyards remain under the responsibility of accompanying adults.
