Six establishments in Rubí have participated during the first half of the year in the 'Comerços aprenents' program, an initiative by the Consorci per a la Normalització Lingüística (CPNL). The aim is to improve the quality of service in shops through training and linguistic advice in Catalan.

The program, aimed at employees with limited Catalan knowledge, offers practical and flexible training. Linguistic normalization technicians visit the establishments to conduct weekly sessions of approximately 30 minutes. In total, participants receive eight personalized sessions where they acquire basic resources for serving customers in Catalan, including greetings, farewells, numbers for prices, days of the week, vocabulary specific to their products, and linguistic awareness content.
In addition to improving customer service skills, participating businesses receive a certificate of accreditation and promotion through the CPNL's website and social media. Concurrently, establishments receive information about the Linguistic Advisory Service, which offers review and translation of materials such as schedules, signs, or price lists.
This second semester, the CPNL continues to offer these services to promote respect for citizens' linguistic rights, enhance the quality of commercial service, and contribute to the normalization and sustainability of Catalan.
