The GMAO Rubí, a digital tool for managing incidents related to public space maintenance, facilities, and municipal services, has completed four years of activity. During this period, a total of 45,019 incidents have been recorded, of which 37,565 have already been resolved.
This system allows for the planning, tracking, and measurement of maintenance actions. In Rubí, the GMAO was designed to provide a rapid, integrated, and multi-channel response to citizen requests. Incidents can be reported via the Rubí Ciutat app, through notices, complaints, and suggestions (AQS), or identified by political officials and municipal inspectors.
Once received, each incident is classified, prioritized, and assigned to the relevant service. The system also includes automated responses to keep citizens informed about the progress of their requests.
The incorporation of artificial intelligence facilitates the automatic distribution and prioritization of requests, learning from accumulated experience to refine the classification of new demands. Furthermore, integration with the municipal Geographic Information System (GIS) allows for the georeferencing of actions and optimization of service deployments.
Regarding closed incidents, the majority (21,513) relate to public spaces, primarily sidewalks (1,974), brush clearing (1,819), and trees (1,574). In municipal facilities (12,724 incidents), plumbing (2,230), electricity (1,042), and lighting (1,036) are prominent. In the services sector (3,328), infrastructure issues (2,585) are the most numerous.
This tool provides the City Council with a unique record for ordering, assigning, and tracking the city's maintenance needs, enhancing the overall view of actions undertaken.
