The inauguration filled the venue, prompting Mayor Ana María Martínez and the President of the Nativity Scene Builders Association, Joan Ricart, to discuss the recurring issue of needing a larger space, confirming they will continue working towards a solution. The association is set to celebrate its 75th anniversary in 2026.
The exhibited dioramas cover a wide thematic range, including classic biblical scenes such as the Nativity, the Adoration of the Kings, and the Flight into Egypt, alongside representations of daily life, like a Christmas lunch or New Year's Eve celebration.
Furthermore, this year's edition includes commemorative pieces, such as a diorama dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Rubinenca Chess Association and another marking the Millennium of Montserrat. The works of the Comellas brothers are also highlighted, as they celebrate 60 years of uninterrupted trajectory creating Christmas dioramas.
Among the constructions on display is the nativity scene originally planned for the Ca n'Oriol viewpoint on December 7. That activity was cancelled due to restrictions on accessing natural environments caused by the African Swine Fever situation. The association has successfully installed other nativity scenes across Rubí, including at the Town Hall, the Mestre Martí Tauler library, the Municipal Market, and the Civic and Community Center.
The exhibition can be visited at the Aula Cultural with special Christmas hours: Monday to Friday, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
