The city of Rubí experienced an intense week surrounding the Epiphany, combining the excitement of the Three Kings Parade with the luck of winning the first prize of the El Niño Lottery.

The arrival and the Three Kings Parade (Cavalcada) were the main focus, with thousands of children enjoying the procession accompanied by the Mag Rubisenc. Luck favored Their Majesties, as on January 6, administration number 1 on Francesc Macià street sold two tenths of the number 06703, distributing 400,000 euros.
Aside from the celebrations, in the early hours of January 9, an earthquake of magnitude 2.7 was recorded with its epicenter in Sant Quirze, in the Vallès Occidental, causing no significant damage. Days earlier, on January 5, the city had been on alert for possible snowfalls, with some flakes visible only in the urbanizations.
Regarding infrastructure, works have begun this week for a new pedestrian crossing connecting Zona Nord and Can Rosés, with an estimated duration of five months.

The L'Escardívol esplanade hosted a temporary bullring that held up to three bullfights in 1974, despite still being considered a green zone.

This historical fact about the use of L'Escardívol, which remains a green zone according to urban planning, was recalled by the architect Josep Maria Milà, who reflected on the various uses the space has had.
