The city of Rubí is commemorating World Mental Health Day, celebrated on October 10th, with an extensive program of activities designed for all audiences. Under the slogan ‘Make a match for mental health’, the initiatives aim to foster connection and visibility for mental health within the community.

The initiative, which extends beyond the designated date, highlights the work carried out in Rubí in this field and the collaboration of the various agents and institutions involved.
Activities commenced on Friday, October 9th, with reflection-focused events. Early in the morning, Ràdio Rubí broadcast a discussion on mental health featuring users and professionals from the Rubí Community Rehabilitation Service. In the afternoon, the Mestre Martí Tauler Library hosted a talk titled ‘Find Your Inner Strength’, led by psychologist Antoni Bolinches Sánchez.
The program continued on Wednesday, October 14th, with a popular walk for mental health, starting from the CAP Anton de Borja. This activity combined physical exercise with community engagement around the theme.
Friday, October 16th, saw the concluding events. The day included an open house at the new Child and Adolescent Mental Health Center (CSMIJ) and Day Hospital, located at Apel·les Mestres street, to introduce the new facilities dedicated to the mental health of children and adolescents.
Later, at 7 PM, the streets of Rubí hosted a parade with a batucada drum group, starting from Plaça del Progrés and ending at El Celler. The event featured a performance by the group Escandalera and the participation of Les Anades d'Olla, the Gegants i Capgrossos de Ca n'Oriol, and the Gegants de Rubí.
At El Celler, at 7:30 PM, the lighting of the venue and the reading of the World Mental Health Day manifesto took place, delivered by users of the Rubí Mental Health Network, giving voice to their experiences.
The commemoration concluded at 7:45 PM with a final performance and refreshments, in a gathering that brought together users from the Rubí Community Rehabilitation Service.
Through this initiative, Rubí aims to enhance public awareness, promote a prejudice-free view of mental health, and value the active participation of users in community life.
