Data published for December 2025 indicates that Rubí registered an unemployment rate of 9.3%, totaling 3,842 unemployed individuals. These figures represent an increase of 106 people out of work (+2.8%) compared to the previous month, breaking the downward trend seen in earlier months.
Despite the monthly increase, the annual trend in Rubí remains positive, as the number of unemployed is 129 people lower than that recorded at the end of 2024, translating into a 3.2% drop. This annual decrease is similar to that registered in Sabadell, and only surpassed by Terrassa, which led the reduction in the Vallès area with a 4.7% decrease.
The Catalan labor market ended the year with the lowest number of registered unemployed people in a December since 2007.
Regarding the Vallès Occidental region as a whole, the county closed November with 41,574 unemployed people, a 0.9% increase compared to the previous month. However, registered unemployment in the county is 3.8% lower year-on-year, with 1,624 fewer people than in 2024. Catalonia ended 2025 with 323,236 unemployed, 3.57% less than at the end of 2024.
