The CNL of Sabadell presented a teaching experience at the VI Conference on teaching Catalan as an additional language, held on October 17th at the Escola Oficial d'Idiomes Barcelona-Drassanes.

The conference, organized by the ICE-UAB Team Catalan in Education and the Society for Teaching and Research of Catalan as a Foreign Language (SERCLE), brought together professionals from various fields to share experiences and work proposals in teaching Catalan to adults and in multilingual contexts.
Among the various communications presented by the Consorci per a la Normalització Lingüística (CPNL), the one by Esther Saborido and Pau Serravinyals, titled "When learners construct assessment criteria," stood out. This proposal detailed an experience of co-creating rubrics for oral expression.
This initiative stems from the communicative competence methodology training received by the entire CPNL teaching staff during the 2025-2026 academic year. The proposal actively involved students from the Elemental 2 course in developing an assessment rubric for their oral interventions, agreeing on criteria with the teacher for a final debate.
These experiences demonstrate the usefulness of new proposals for teaching practice and enrich the debate on teaching Catalan as an additional language, highlighting the CPNL's expertise.
