The ice rink installed at the Jardinets de l’Espai Cultura in Sabadell closed the Christmas season with an excellent balance, registering 18,924 visitors, 3,000 more than the previous edition.

The activity, organized by the Fundació 1859 Caixa Sabadell, opened its doors on November 28 with the main novelty of recovering real ice, leaving behind the synthetic material used in previous years. This change has been key to the increase in attendance, which reached 18,924 users.

"The balance is excellent. The increase in users and positive opinions confirm that this proposal is now part of the Christmas of many families."

Although weather conditions forced the suspension of the activity for three days due to rain, the influx remained “very high,” turning the Jardinets square into an “intergenerational meeting space.” The success has led the entity to consider repeating the initiative next season.
Another highlight is the sustainability of the installation, thanks to the collaboration with Aigües Sabadell, which allowed the use of regenerated water. The organization confirmed that, once the season is over, the water will be collected and reused to water the garden itself, closing the cycle and minimizing the environmental impact.
