The Department of Territory, Housing, and Ecological Transition will reinforce, starting October 1st, the interurban bus line C1, which connects Sabadell and Castellar del Vallès. This initiative, presented in Castellar del Vallès, involves an annual investment of €153,195.25 and is part of the second Interurban Bus Shock Plan.
With this improvement, the line, operated by Moventis, will increase its offer from 89 to 103 daily services between both municipalities, from Monday to Friday (excluding the first two weeks of August).
Peak hour frequency will be increased, with a bus every eight minutes between 7:00 AM and 9:48 AM, and between 2:00 PM and 7:36 PM, heading towards Sabadell. Services will alternate between the usual route to the Sabadell bus station and those ending at Plaça d'Espanya (Sabadell Nord), connecting with Renfe and FGC stations.
In the direction of Castellar del Vallès, services departing from the Sabadell bus station will alternate with those starting from Plaça d'Espanya, maintaining a bus every eight minutes during peak hours from this point.
Additionally, departure times are being adjusted to improve schedule adherence and service reliability, and a new vehicle will be incorporated to bolster operations during peak hours.
These measures address the high mobility demand between Castellar del Vallès and Sabadell, and will enable a total of 6,902 annual services, representing an increase of 3,027 service hours and 37,757 annual kilometers.
