The initiative, under the slogan Viu el Nadal (Live Christmas), aims to increase the visibility of local businesses and create a festive atmosphere in the streets. The contest is open to shops, restaurants, hospitality establishments, and other local service businesses with a physical premises open to the public. Participation is free, and the registration deadline is November 20th.
Participating establishments must decorate their windows with Christmas themes and keep them visible from December 4th to 23rd. Creativity, originality, visual impact, lighting, and the ability to convey the Christmas spirit will be particularly valued.
One of the main novelties of this edition is the incorporation of an online popular voting system. From December 4th to 20th, individuals aged 16 and over can vote for up to five different window displays using a QR code available at participating establishments.
The top three window displays from each of the Chamber's twelve municipalities will advance to the final stage. A professional jury will visit the 36 selected establishments between December 21st and 23rd to decide the awards.
The event will distribute over 6,000 euros in prizes. The best window display in the contest will receive the L’Aparador de la Cambra Award, with a prize of 2,000 euros and a diploma. Additionally, the best window display in each municipality will be recognized with a prize of at least 300 euros.
The public will also have the opportunity to win prizes, as three prizes of 500, 250, and 125 euros will be raffled among those who participate in the popular vote.
Interested establishments can complete their registration until November 20th via the Chamber's website.
