The Town Council of Sant Quirze del Vallès joins, once again, the commemoration of World Heart Day, celebrated today, September 29th. As part of the event, the lake in Betzuca park will be illuminated in red tonight to raise awareness for cardiovascular health.
This initiative is part of the ‘Move For the Heart’ campaign, promoted by the CorAvant Foundation. Its main objective is to highlight the importance of caring for cardiovascular health and encourage healthy lifestyle habits among citizens.
Sant Quirze is one of the 54 municipalities in Catalonia participating this year. These municipalities will illuminate an emblematic building or space in red to mark World Heart Day.
The commemoration aims to raise awareness about the importance of preventing cardiovascular diseases. To achieve this, it promotes the adoption of healthy lifestyle habits, such as regular physical activity, a balanced diet, and control of key cardiovascular risk factors.
Through this symbolic illumination, Sant Quirze contributes to raising awareness about the need to take care of heart health on this international day.
