The five Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC) stations in Terrassa registered 6.28 million journeys during 2025, exceeding the six million threshold for the first time with an 8.1% increase compared to the previous year.

This volume of 6,281,428 validations consolidates the upward trend in the use of public rail transport in the city, representing a significant increase compared to the 5,809,961 journeys counted in 2024. This growth reinforces the central role of the railway as an axis of daily mobility in Vallès Occidental.
The station with the highest flow continues to be Terrassa Rambla, located in the urban center, with 2,179,809 journeys during 2025. However, the highest year-on-year increase was recorded at Terrassa Estació del Nord, which grew by 11.1% to reach 1,128,335 journeys. This station, where Renfe and FGC services converge, has experienced a cumulative increase of 54.2% since 2019.

"these results encourage us to continue working to offer an excellent service that retains users and attracts new ones, with extremely high rates of punctuality and quality"

Carles Ruiz Novella · President of Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC)
The data from Terrassa is part of a record year for FGC, which closed 2025 by exceeding 100 million annual journeys on the Metropolitan Lines for the first time, totaling 100.6 million. The Barcelona-Vallès line, which includes Terrassa, registered 71.2 million journeys, with Terrassa (8.1%) and Sabadell (8.6%) growing above the average.
In addition to the increase in demand, the service maintained a high level of reliability. During 2025, the punctuality index of FGC exceeded 99% on all lines, with 99.78% on the Barcelona-Vallès line, reinforcing the perception of a stable and competitive service.
