The Local Police of Caldes de Montbui has carried out a control campaign in food establishments open on holidays and at night, resulting in the inspection of 12 premises and the initiation of over 40 reports.

The campaign, conducted between August and October, focused on mobile establishments permitted to open during holidays and at night. The main objective was twofold: to inform traders about current regulations and to detect potential infringements related to alcohol sales and other public health aspects.
As a result of these inspections, more than 40 administrative reports have been filed. Detected infringements include the sale of alcohol to minors or outside permitted hours, the marketing of counterfeit products such as electronic cigarettes or condoms, and non-compliance with European public health regulations. These actions aim to prevent practices detrimental to consumers and the establishments themselves.
In parallel, the Consumer and Trade department of the Caldes de Montbui City Council has sent a circular reminding establishments of legal limitations on alcohol sales. The circular refers to Law 20/1985, which prohibits the sale of alcoholic beverages over twenty centesimal degrees between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM, except in premises intended for on-site consumption.
This initiative is part of the Municipal Action Plan 2023-2027, specifically axis number 6, demonstrating the local administration's commitment to the safety and well-being of its citizens.
