The municipality of Figaró-Montmany will host the 15th edition of ForadCamp, the Nature Film Festival, on October 24th and 25th. The event, now in its fifteenth year, offers a cinematic exploration of nature as a setting, protagonist, or transformative element.
Throughout the weekend, four feature films will be screened, including Catalan productions such as Estrany riu by Jaume Claret Muxart and Historias del buen buen valle by José Luis Guerín. The program also features Hijra by Shahad Ameen and the family session Robot salvatge by Chris Sanders.
Saturday, October 24th, will begin at 4:00 PM with the screening of Estrany riu, which follows two siblings on a family bike trip along the Danube. At 6:15 PM, Hijra will be shown, an international co-production about identity and family ties during a desert journey.
On Sunday, October 25th, ForadCamp Kids will present Robot salvatge at 4:00 PM, an animated film for ages 7 and up about a robot adapting to a deserted island. Following this, at 5:45 PM, Historias del buen valle will be screened, a portrait of the Vallbona neighborhood and its community struggles.
Complementing the screenings, on Sunday from 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM, the walk «El paisatge, un fotograma de la pel·lícula ‘Natura’» will take place. The route, guided by Aprèn Serveis Ambientals, will explore the landscape of the Congost Valley and the Montseny massif.
All activities are free but require prior reservation due to limited capacity. Screenings will be held at the Sala del Nou Casino, while the walk will start at the Punt d’Informació del Molí de Ca l’Antic. The event is organized by the Figaró-Montmany Town Hall and coordinated by the INDOC Association.
