The event featured a total of 23 climbing blocs spread across various locations in Granollers, complemented by an additional 30 blocs at the Kraken Bloc facilities, where the competition's final round took place.
Following an initial phase open to the city, the top five male and female competitors advanced to the finals. This year's winners were Maria Godó and Àlex Bernabé. In the men's category, the podium was completed by Marc Alonso and Jan Baldó, both associated with Kraken Bloc. For the women's category, Silvia Bertolín from Banyoles secured the second position, while Èlia Guàrdia came in third.
“"It has been an edition with a high level. In the men's category, climbers linked to Kraken dominated the podium; but this year we've seen a significant rise in the women's category. We believe we have consolidated the competition. In previous editions, we had organized a week of activities, but focusing solely on the urban Open has worked very well for us, with high participation."
Pep Rastrero, from the shop Illa Sports, one of the organizers along with Kraken Bloc and Tocant els núvols, highlighted the strong level of competition and the increase in female participation. Rastrero noted that while the focus on the urban Open has been successful, the possibility of reintroducing a week of activities in future festival editions is not ruled out.
