The 2026-2027 school year officially commenced in Canovelles this Tuesday, September 8th, with a total of 1,982 students enrolled across the municipality's educational centers.

The opening day was marked by an educational strike call, which had a varied impact on the schools, resulting in a significant portion of students not attending classes today.
Enrollment figures include infant and primary education schools, compulsory secondary education (ESO) centers, and the Escola Bressol Municipal Marta Mata. Specifically, there are 1,046 students enrolled in infant and primary education, distributed across five I3 lines at Congost, Els Quatre Vents, Jacint Verdaguer, and Joan Miró schools.
For compulsory secondary education (ESO), 581 students have enrolled, divided into three lines at Institut Bellulla and two at Domus d'Olivet.
The Escola Bressol Municipal Marta Mata is hosting 127 infants aged 0 to 3 years, organized into one infant line, three lines for 1 to 2-year-olds, and four lines for 2 to 3-year-olds.
Post-compulsory studies also show strong demand. A total of 95 students have registered for baccalaureate programs, 16 individuals will pursue the Vocational Training and Insertion Program (PFI) for Health Center Assistants, and 117 students will participate in various vocational training offerings.
