Lliçà d’Amunt is once again joining the Great Food Collection, which will take place from November 13th to 15th. The initiative, now in its 18th edition, mobilizes citizens and establishments to collect food for vulnerable individuals in the municipality.

The campaign, promoted by the four Food Banks of Catalonia, will be held at participating establishments in Lliçà d’Amunt. The objective is to support people and families in vulnerable situations through the collection of food and monetary donations.
In Lliçà d’Amunt, the initiative is coordinated by the Department of Social Action, with the collaboration of the entity El Rebost Solidari de Lliçà d’Amunt. The campaign combines the physical collection of food with the possibility of making monetary donations at supermarket checkouts or through the Gran Recapte website.
A call for volunteers is made to assist during the three days of the campaign at various collection points. Interested individuals can contact the Department of Social Action at 93 860 72 20.
Participating stores include Esclat, Bonpreu, Sorli, BonÀrea, and Condis. The most needed items are canned or jarred legumes and vegetables, broth, canned meats, canned fish, and olive and sunflower oil. All collected food will be donated to El Rebost Solidari de Lliçà d’Amunt.
