The performance 'Bon Voyage! Orquestra Orthemis' will take place at the Teatre Municipal Can Gomà in Mollet del Vallès on Sunday, October 4th. The theatricalized show tells the story of a string orchestra that, after their flight is cancelled, becomes stranded in an airport terminal.
The company Orthemis Orchestra, known for its blend of musical virtuosity and theatre, presents a new creation where musicians experience absurd situations such as being harassed by a fly, fighting over a single phone, impromptu fashion shows, and nightmares. This escalation of personal conflicts culminates in an epic finale, promising more virtuosity, theatre, and humor than ever.
The play, with artistic direction by Toni Sans and creation and dramaturgy by Toni Sans and Orthemis Orchestra, features a cast of 10 musician-actors: Cecília Burguera, Nelson Hernández, Carles Coll, Violeta González, Ioan Haffner, Nataliia Andrusiv, Nacho Lezcano, Paulina Sánchez, David Sanmartí, and Sergi Ruiz. Costume design is by Ariadna Papió and Laura Cans, lighting and technical design by Actua (Arnau Vilaplana), and executive production by Marta Guzmán and Tomàs Montoya.
The performance is part of the 'Sona Mollet 2026' series and will be held at 11:30 AM. The lingering question is whether the orchestra will eventually reach its destination.
