Montornès del Vallès commemorates September 11th with an institutional event in the Natividad Yarza Planas gardens, featuring a floral offering, musical performances, dances, and the premiere of the bastonera group.

Catalan culture will take center stage in the commemoration of the National Day of Catalonia in Montornès del Vallès. The event will take place on Friday, September 11th, at 11 AM, in the Natividad Yarza Planas gardens.
The day will begin with the raising of the Catalan flag (Senyera) by representatives of the Local Police, accompanied musically by the Coral La Lira, who will perform 'El Cant de la Senyera', 'El meu Montornès', and 'L’Empordà'. Later, the choir will also perform 'Els Segadors'.
Before the floral offerings from local entities and the Consistory, local dancers Anna Boné and Júlia Espias, accompanied by musician Dani Garrido, will perform the 'Ball de l’Homenatge'. The event will continue with a performance by the Esbart Dansaire Rosa dels Vents de Vilanova del Vallès and the reading of the institutional manifesto.
As a novelty, the bastonera group from the Bruixes Montornès association will perform the dance 'Torra', their first dance.
The Diada commemoration will conclude with a sardana dance open to everyone, with the collaboration of volunteers from the Associació Cultural Palau Dalmanla and senior centers.
