The ordinary October council meeting of the La Llagosta City Council will take place today, Wednesday, at 7:30 PM. A key item on the agenda is the approval of the General Protocol of Action between the Generalitat de Catalunya, the La Llagosta City Council, the Port Authority of Barcelona, and the Manager of Railway Infrastructure (ADIF). This protocol aims to develop and integrate the La Llagosta freight transport terminal and establish a new Urban Development Plan for economic activity in the Eix Riera de Caldes area.
During the session, the institutional manifesto for November 25th, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, will also be approved.
Additionally, the Council will address the proposal to initiate a sanctioning procedure against the company Calam Tapias Construccions, responsible for the rehabilitation works at Can Baqué. The City Council is claiming a penalty of 147,000 euros from the company for an 81-day delay in the project's completion.
The session will also include the initial approval of modifications to the regulatory bases for granting subsidies to outstanding athletes from La Llagosta. The new regulations will allow individuals participating in prestigious national or international sports competitions, even if organized by private entities or non-federative international organizations, to be eligible beneficiaries.
The meeting can be followed via the City Council's YouTube channel and Ràdio La Llagosta, and will conclude with a Q&A session.
