Lliçà d'Amunt City Council maintains its speech therapy service in schools, which this year began in September to strengthen early detection and attention for speech and language difficulties.

The speech therapy service in the schools of Lliçà d'Amunt continues this academic year, an initiative that started last March and has now been brought forward to the beginning of the school year in September. The aim is to improve the early detection and attention of difficulties related to children's speech and language.
The municipal investment planned for this course is 20,223 euros. The service is primarily aimed at children in early childhood education, the first cycle of primary education, and 2 and 3-year-olds in municipal nursery schools. It seeks to detect and address early on potential difficulties in speech, language, voice, as well as problems with sucking, chewing, or swallowing.
Therapy is provided in small groups to foster more individualized work. The service also includes coordination with the educational teams of the centers, who receive advice and guidance to continue the strategies worked on in the classroom. Children requiring support are identified by the educational centers, and their participation is agreed upon with the families.
This complementary educational resource does not replace other external specialized care that children may receive. Family participation and support are important elements, with information and guidance provided to reinforce learning. The speech therapy service is part of the Local Education Plan EDUC360, which supports families in the upbringing and development of children aged 0 to 6 years.
