Mussoltex, the online textile pre-press made by printers for printing workshops

The platform, driven by Forte Printers Group, prepares designs for DTF, sublimation, and 3D badges ready for machine use, in six languages and without installing any software.

Printing workshops receive pixelated logos, WhatsApp photos, and designs intended for screens, not printing, every day. Mussoltex, a textile pre-press platform born in Catalonia and open to professionals across Europe, prepares them to come out well on the machine, directly from the browser.

Pre-press is the invisible work of any textile workshop: reviewing the file sent by the client, cleaning it, adjusting its resolution, and preparing it for the printing technique. Often, it arrives mid-afternoon with an order for the next day, and resolving it with generic design software can take hours. These programs are designed for how an image looks on screen, not for white ink, film consumption, or the meter-long setups required for production.
Mussoltex was born within Forte Printers Group, the Catalan group that produces DTF, sublimation, and 3D badge transfers for workshops and brands across Europe with DTF Barcelona, DTF Portugal, and DTF Europe. The team has turned their file preparation process for their own production into a tool. Hence the platform's slogan: «Made by printers, for printers».

Not design, it's pre-press

The difference from a conventional image editor is the objective. Mussoltex doesn't aim for the design to look good on screen, but to print well on the garment. That's why it works at 300 dpi, recovers low-quality logos and images, removes backgrounds, vectorizes and scales without losing detail, and converts designs into halftones for DTF, a technique that allows the fabric to breathe and improves the feel of the print. Files are output with direct color channels for industry RIP software, such as neoStampa.
The platform also covers the production side: it automatically arranges DTF meters to optimize film usage and generates industrial cutting files. For 3D badges, it creates the relief and textures and prepares the imposition with channels ready to send to the machine. Additionally, it includes tools for other finishes, such as puff effect, embroidery simulation, text effects, mockups on photographs, or wash labels for clothing brands.

DTF, sublimation, and 3D badges

Mussoltex is designed for workshops working with DTF, sublimation, and 3D badges, as well as for designers and brands preparing their files before ordering prints. It operates in Spanish, English, French, German, Italian, and Portuguese, making it accessible to workshops in different countries, and periodically incorporates new tools, many based on problems raised by the workshops themselves.
With this project, Forte Printers Group offers textile industry professionals worldwide the experience it has gained in preparing files for its own production.
