The Festa del Glaç in Lliçà de Vall celebrated its 15th edition on the weekend of October 24th and 25th, attracting nearly 4,000 people to the Can Gurri forest, maintaining its successful attendance.

The celebration enjoyed favorable weather, with a cold and cloudy Saturday afternoon and a sunny, warm Sunday. The central event, "El carro del gel: crònica del darrer viatge de l’any" (The Ice Cart: Chronicle of the Last Journey of the Year), sold out its four showings, recreating the ice trade with local actors and participating entities.
This year saw the debut of the new, larger Mercat del Glaç (Ice Market), featuring over 25 stalls offering crafts and local produce. The program was rounded out with guided tours of the ice wells, storytelling, workshops, and family activities. Saturday concluded with "La llegenda de la Bastarda" by the Colla de Diables de la Vall del Tenes, and on Sunday, young actors from the Els Vinyals school performed "El retaule del glaç".
The festival hosted an institutional visit on Saturday afternoon, led by the Councillor for Culture, Pere Balsells, along with Mayor Xavier Castillejo and Deputy Mayor Ferran Ballestà. Attendees also included Members of Parliament Andrea Canelo and Miriam Nogueras, the Director of Cultural Services for Barcelona, Andreu Felip, and the President of the Vallès Oriental Regional Council, Emilio Cordero, among other political representatives.
Sunday's closing featured a concert by Bandeltenes and a popular rice dish that sold out its 400 available spots. During the event, a commemorative plaque was presented to volunteers, actors, technical teams, entities, and former municipal officials who have made the festival possible over the past fifteen years.
A satisfaction survey has been opened until November 2nd to help improve the festival, and at the end of the questionnaire, interested individuals can sign up as volunteers for the next edition.
