This initiative, funded by the Diputació de Barcelona, offers a friendly and accessible space to discuss concerns, express feelings, and receive guidance on personal difficulties or emotional distress common during youth.
The service specifically targets young people from municipalities such as Martorelles, Santa Maria de Martorelles, Vilalba Sasserra, Figaró-Montmany, Tagamanent, Vallromanes, Campins, Cànoves i Samalús, Fogars de Montclús, Gualba, Montseny, Sant Esteve de Palautordera, and Vallgorguina.
Escolta Jove promotes preventive and community-based intervention to foster emotional well-being and encourage young people to seek help at the first signs of difficulty, preventing issues from worsening or requiring specialized care.
The support covers topics such as emotional distress, emotion management, mild to moderate anxiety, relationship difficulties, family conflicts, self-esteem, grief processes, academic challenges, loneliness, identity, sexuality, and decision-making, all based on principles of confidentiality, voluntariness, and proximity.
The service collaborates with youth, educational, social, and health resources in the region to complement existing offerings and facilitate referrals when necessary. Young people can access the service on their own initiative or through referrals from youth services, educational centers, or primary care.
In addition to individual support, Escolta Jove will organize activities to promote emotional well-being and prevention, aiming to create healthier community environments.
