The G2M facility in Montmeló hosted the Collective Destination Session of the Destinació Barcelona Sostenible program, where attendees exchanged experiences and reflected on how to better communicate the sustainable initiatives they are already undertaking.
Through a participatory group dynamic, hypothetical cases were addressed, simulating communication agencies and clients, with the aim of designing campaigns linked to different aspects of sustainability. The activity allowed for reflection on how to adapt messages, select effective channels, and give visibility to the organizations' actions.
The meeting also served to present this year's program updates and analyze how individual communication can strengthen the joint Destinació Barcelona Sostenible brand. The proposals developed are aimed at facilitating concrete actions for entities to incorporate into their improvement plans for 2026.
The Destinació Barcelona Sostenible program, driven by the Diputació de Barcelona and the Ajuntament de Barcelona with the collaboration of the Cambra de Comerç de Barcelona and Turisme de Barcelona, supports tourism companies in their transition towards more responsible management models. In Vallès Oriental, the Tourism Service of the Consell Comarcal promotes the program's implementation and supports local entities.
This initiative contributes to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) numbers 8, 11, 12, and 17, reinforcing the Consell Comarcal's commitment to the 2030 Agenda.
