The Montmeló Town Council has declared three days of official mourning, from October 29th to 31st, in solidarity with the victims of the serious train accident that occurred in Toledo.

During these days, flags at municipal buildings will fly at half-mast as a sign of respect. The institutional agenda for members of the municipal government will be reduced to the essential minimum.
All public activities organized or promoted by the Town Council scheduled for this period, including the Castanyada (Chestnut Festival) events and other cultural, festive, and institutional activities, have been postponed. The council will soon announce new dates for rescheduling these activities.
Through this gesture, the council aims to express its solidarity with those affected by the tragedy and extend its support and warmth to the victims' families.
