The Montmeló City Council has launched a free support service to facilitate registration for idCAT Mòbil, specifically aimed at senior citizens, coinciding with the International Day of Older Persons.

Starting Thursday, October 1st, interested citizens can visit the Casal de la Gent Gran (Senior Citizens' Center) to book an appointment and receive assistance with the idCAT Mòbil registration. This authentication service, which links an identity document to a mobile phone via a one-time code, will soon be mandatory for accessing the health portal.
A team from the Council's social action and IT departments will guide users through the registration process. idCAT Mòbil is a secure, free system that works on any device without needing to install apps or remember passwords, and it does not expire. It is valid for individuals over 16 years old.
This digital identifier is necessary for a wide range of procedures, including accessing the Carpeta Salut (Health Folder), managing medical appointments, downloading COVID or vaccination certificates, obtaining a certificate of residence, paying local taxes, submitting applications, registering for job offers with the SOC (Catalan Employment Service), settling Generalitat taxes, school pre-registration, applying for housing benefits, and checking the status of your files in the Carpeta Ciutadana (Citizen Folder).
